You Bring the Guest List.
We’ll Handle the Details.

A baby shower should be one of those days you actually get to enjoy.

You shouldn’t be watching the clock, wondering when the food is coming out, or leaving the table to check that everything is going the way you planned it.

So your coordinator settles the details with you ahead of the day... the room, the menu, your headcount, and the timing. You are welcome an hour before your guests to set up whatever you have brought, and the room is yours for three hours after that. Then the morning arrives and our team takes it from there.

You celebrate her. We’ll take care of everyone else.

Come as you are... we’ll treat you like royalty.

Private Rooms, Your Celebration

Pick the Room. Then Stop Thinking About It.

From an intimate shower with her closest friends to a celebration with the whole extended family, there is a room here that fits. Choose your favorite... we will worry about the rest.

Most Showers Choose This

The Library

Room for everyone she wants there.

Bright, private, and big enough for both sides of the family without anybody eating in a corner. Windows down one side, bookshelves down the other, and a hearth that has had more gift piles in front of it than we can count. Long tables down the middle, and room to move between them.

Best for 25 to 65, seated

The Britannia Room set for a small baby shower luncheon with picture windows and brass chandeliers at Crown Tavern in Glen Mills, PA

The Britannia Room

Cozy, private, and made for a small gathering.

One table, everybody around it, and a few unhurried hours with the people closest to her. Picture windows and pale wainscoting, and small enough that she never has to work her way around a crowd to say hello to anyone.

32Seated
40Standing

Best for 15 to 32, seated

A baby shower in the Wine Cellar at Crown Tavern in Glen Mills, PA, with balloons and a gift table against the wine racks

The Wine Cellar

For when the guest list keeps growing.

Downstairs and stone-walled, and the only room here that takes a list of a hundred. It is darker than the rooms above it, so it comes down to what you want the photographs to look like. The buffet sets up next door, which keeps the food out of the party.

90Seated
130Standing

Best for 45 to 130 guests

The covered garden patio with an outdoor fireplace, a spring and summer option for baby showers at Crown Tavern in Glen Mills, PA

Garden Bar & Patio

A shower in the warm months, outdoors.

Under cover with the garden around it, and more room than anywhere else we have. The right call for a shower in May or June and the wrong one in February, so we would ask about your date before we walked you out here.

120Seated
200Standing

Best for Spring & summer, up to 120

We also have The High Tops, which holds forty standing beside the bar. It is the one room we would talk you out of for a shower... a shower wants a chair and a table for everybody, and that room is built for the opposite.

We had our daughter's Baby Shower in the Library at The Crown. It was the perfect sized room for 30 guests and a book theme. The food was fabulous- we had The Queen's Brunch plus Mimosa Bar. Our guests raved about the ambiance and food. We couldn't be more pleased with the staff, service or total experience.

The Crown Tavern exceeded all our expectations for my sisters baby shower event. We chose the Wine Cellar due to the size of our party and it did not disappoint. Very spacious, great decor and overall good flow to the room/event. I thought it was a perk that the food/buffet could be held in a separate room. The event coordinator,Zoe, was able to accommodate our desires for a neutral table and everything was as discussed. Our food choice was the Queens brunch and it was absolutely PERFECT! We had guests raving about it and multiple trips to get more. From the salad to the protein choices, truly exceptional taste. The service was a great mix of attentiveness and hands offness. Oona, our event lead and bartender was great and helped with any questions we had. She always acted swiftly. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue and experience.

We help my daughter’s baby shower there are several weeks ago. From the food, to the ambience, to the servers, everything was exceptional. My guests are still commenting on how great the food was and they absolutely love the room. The library is a perfect room for a baby shower. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate several people with food allergies. I would highly recommend The Crown for an event to anyone. Zoe was wonderful to deal with as well.

We recently held a baby shower in the wine cellar at The Crown Tavern. The event space was beautiful and our guests expressed the same sentiment. Staff was attentive, food was delicious, my requests were all accommodated and we had no issues. It was a hot day and room was comfortably cool. The girls assigned to our event were wonderful. Our guests all told us how beautiful everything was and many remarked that they had not known about The Crown but would be sure to come back. We were very pleased with our experience. All communication was returned quickly before the event. The overall cost was very reasonable and most importantly the parents-to-be thoroughly enjoyed the event!

The room was “cozy but not too small for 50 people. The food was delicious and plentiful. I would host another shower there in a heartbeat. Thank you all

I'm from Maryland and I used the wine cellar in the basement of the restaurant to throw a baby shower for my sister. I wasn't able to view the space prior to the shower, so I really wasnt sure how it was going to be, but the space was PERFECT and it absolutely impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, and it was a perfect space for people to socialize, play games, and to decorate (although it didnt need decorations to be a great looking space). Event manager was extremely communicative, answered all of our questions, and consistently checked in with us to see if we needed any help. We were set up with bluetooth for music and a mic for the event. Excellent venue!

Good to Know

Baby shower questions

How much does a baby shower cost?

Menus start at $29 per person, and your final per-person price depends on the menu and beverage package you choose. A 20% service charge applies and taxes are folded into your quote. There is no room fee on top, so the per-person price is the price.

Is there a room fee?

No. No room fee, no linen fee, and no credit-card fee. You pay per person for the food and drink you choose, and a $100 deposit holds the date and comes straight back off your final bill.

How many guests can you accommodate?

From about fifteen up to two hundred. The Britannia Room seats 32, the Library seats 65, the Wine Cellar seats 90, and the Garden Bar & Patio seats 120 and holds 200 standing. Most showers here land between thirty and sixty.

How long do we have the room?

Three hours, and most showers use all of it. That sits on top of the hour beforehand for setting up... so if your guests arrive at eleven, you are in the room from ten and the morning runs through to two.

Can we bring our own decorations and get in early to set up?

Yes to both. You are welcome an hour before your guests arrive... balloon arches, a gift table, a games table, a dessert display, whatever you have planned. Tell your coordinator what you are bringing so the room is ready for you when you get here.

Can we bring our own cake?

Bring it in, and we will not charge you to cut and serve it. Plenty of families have one made somewhere they love, or somebody in the family bakes it. Bring it with you when you come to set up and we will take it from there.

Do you do brunch for a shower, or only lunch and dinner?

Brunch, and it is what most showers here choose. A Queen’s Weekend Brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 2:00. Tuesday through Friday we build a luncheon instead, plated, buffet, or family-style. Add a mimosa bar to either and your guests pour their own.

Can you work around food allergies?

Send them over with your final count and the kitchen builds around them. Tell your coordinator who they belong to as well... it is easier for the servers to look after a guest by name than to go hunting for a raised hand.

Do you host showers on weekdays?

We do, Tuesday through Sunday. We are closed on Mondays. A weekday shower is often the easier booking when your date is tight, and a plated lunch suits a smaller list better than a buffet does.

What happens after I send an inquiry?

Zoe, our event coordinator, comes back to you with the rooms open on your date and what fits your headcount. You pick a room and a menu, she sends a quote, and the $100 deposit holds it. Nothing is booked and nothing is owed until you say yes.
