A Bridal Shower Is One Morning.
And a Long List Before It.
Where. How many. What they’ll eat. Whether there is room for the gifts, and what happens if it rains.
You are not left to work that out on your own. Zoe, our event coordinator, settles it with you ahead of the day... the room, the menu, your headcount, the timing, and the flowers if you want them. Read the reviews further down and you will notice how many of them use her name.
You are welcome an hour before your guests to set up whatever you have brought, and the room is yours for three hours after that. Then the morning arrives and our team takes it from there.
You host her. We’ll look after everybody else.
Come as you are... we’ll treat you like royalty.

Pick the Room. Then Stop Thinking About It.
A bridal shower brunch for her closest friends, or the whole family on both sides. There is a room here that fits either, and one of them is outdoors when the weather is kind.
There is also the Wine Cellar downstairs, ninety seated and a hundred and thirty standing, which is where the larger parties go. It is a stone room and a handsome one, and it photographs like an evening rather than a morning... so for a brunch we would steer you upstairs first. Worth asking about if her guest list outgrows the Library.

Everybody Leaves With Flowers
We wheel it into your room stacked with pails of fresh flowers, and it stops being a party with centerpieces on the tables. Your guests build their own bouquets... roses, tulips, ranunculus, stock and eucalyptus, and a room full of people working out what goes with what.
It is the thing they photograph. It is also the thing they carry out to the car, which is more than most favors manage.
We set it up and we clear it away. Ask your coordinator what is good the week of her date and she will build the cart around it.

Halfway Between Her Side and Yours
A bridal shower is the one morning both families turn up to, and the drive is usually what decides the date. Read the reviews above and you will find Kennett Square and Garnet Valley sitting next to Havertown, King of Prussia and Wilmington.
We are on Route 202, a straight run down from West Chester and an easy one from Concordville, Chadds Ford, Garnet Valley, Media, and Wilmington, DE. Parking is on site, so nobody is walking half a block in heels.

Bridal shower questions
Do you host bridal showers near West Chester and Glen Mills?
We do. The Crown Tavern is at 451 Wilmington West Chester Pike, straight down Route 202 from West Chester, and the tavern itself sits in Concord Township, Delaware County, a few minutes from the Chester County line. The hosts quoted on this page travelled in from Kennett Square, Garnet Valley, Havertown, King of Prussia and Wilmington, DE. Parking is on site.
Can we hold the bridal shower outside, and what happens if it rains?
Yes, and the rain question is the one worth asking first. The Garden Bar and Patio is covered and seats 120, and it is a lovely spot from late spring through September. If the weather turns we move you indoors, and we have done it on the morning of a shower before now... one of the hosts quoted on this page was rained out and wrote about the switch afterwards. You are never choosing between the deck and a wet morning.
Do you do a bridal shower brunch?
That is what most bridal showers here are. A Queen’s Weekend Brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 2:00, with brioche french toast, eggs benedict and soft scrambled eggs kept topped up while your guests go back for more. Add the mimosa bar and they pour their own, from juices, prosecco and champagne set out for the morning. Tuesday through Friday we build a luncheon instead, plated or buffet.
Can we add a flower cart to a bridal shower?
Yes, and it is the part guests tend to remember. The cart is wheeled into your room stocked with pails of fresh flowers, and your guests build their own bouquets to take home. Thirty-five guests is the minimum, and it is confirmed a couple of weeks ahead so the flowers are cut for your date. Ask your coordinator what is in season for the morning you have picked... pricing and the full details are on our events menu.
How many guests will fit?
From about fifteen up to a hundred and twenty seated. The Britannia Room seats 32, the Library seats 65, the Wine Cellar seats 90, and the Garden Bar and Patio seats 120 outdoors. Most bridal showers here land somewhere between twenty-five and sixty, which is comfortably the Library.
What does a bridal shower cost, and what is in the per-person price?
Menus start at $29 a guest, and your final per-person figure depends on the menu and the beverage package you choose. A 20% service charge applies and taxes are folded into your quote. There is no room fee on top, no linen fee and no credit-card fee, so the per-person price is the price. A flower cart or a dessert table is quoted separately.
How early can we get in to decorate?
An hour before your guests arrive, and the room is yours for three hours after that. So a shower with guests at eleven means you are in the room from ten and the morning runs through to two, which lines up with the weekend brunch service. Tell your coordinator what you are bringing... a balloon arch, a gift table, favors, a welcome sign... and the room is set for it when you get here.
Can we bring her cake in?
Bring it, and we will not charge you to cut it or serve it. Plenty of families have one made somewhere they love, or somebody in the family bakes it. Bring it with you when you come to set up and we will take it from there. If you would rather not think about dessert at all, a dessert table is on the à la carte list.
Do you host showers on a weekday?
We do, Tuesday through Sunday. Monday is the one day we cannot. A weekend morning is the classic bridal shower and it is also the first to go, so if her date is tight, a Friday luncheon is often the easier booking... and a plated menu suits a smaller list better than a buffet does.
What happens once we have picked a date?
Zoe, our event coordinator, comes back with the rooms open that morning and what fits your headcount. You choose a room and a menu, she sends a quote, and a $100 deposit holds it and comes straight back off your final bill. From there it can all be settled by email... several of the hosts quoted on this page planned theirs exactly that way.

Tell Us the Date.
We’ll Take It From There.
Spring and early summer Saturdays go first. Tell us a little about the shower you are planning and we will come back with the room that fits, a brunch to suit her guests, and one per-person price with nothing hiding underneath it.
No commitment... just tell us what you are planning.
